1 PhD Student Position: Interface Science – New Materials

The position focuses on surface-science studies on complex model interfaces for catalysis,energy storage, and the production of semiconductor devices. In situ infrared spectroscopy will be a key component of the experimental toolbox. Where appropriate, additional techniques such as diffraction or photon-based methods and microscopy methods (scanning tunneling microscopy, atomic force microscopy) may be employed as well.

Postdoctoral Researcher Position: New Material Concepts in Sustainable Catalysis

The position focuses on surface-science studies of innovative model catalysts aimed at maximizing noble-metal efficiency and enabling the sustainable use of precious materials. Synchrotron-based X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) will be a central experimental technique, complemented where appropriate by additional spectroscopic, diffraction, and microscopy methods.
